The swallow got into the scroll.
On a hanging scroll, two strips called 惊燕 — the startled swallows — hang from the head to keep birds from landing on the silk. This one got in.
A seeded Node script draws the entire plate. No image model: every hatch, ring, facet, and wave is emitted as SVG.
